Allerford Road Temporary Closure Due To Level Crossing Inspection Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Oake Temporary Closure of Allerford Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Allerford Road - from 540 metres north-west of the junction with Upcott Road, north-westwards for a total distance of 100 metres. This Order will enable Network Rail to carry out phased level crossing inspection works.
The Order becomes effective on 25th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 4th October 2025 until 05th October 2025 and also 11th October 2025 until 12th October 2025 between the hours of 23:30 - 08:00 for a total of 2 nights.
