Cothelstone Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Replacement & Testing Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parishes of Cothelstone and Bishop's Lydeard Temporary Closure of Cothelstone Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Cothelstone Road -from the junction with Toulton Road to the junction with Kingston St Mary Road. A total distance of 1123 metres. This Order will enable Openreach to cany out pole replacement and pole testing works.
The Order becomes effective on 25th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 30th September 2025 and last until 30th September 2025 between the hours of 09:30 -15:30 for a total of 6 hours.
