Brunswick Place Area - Prohibition Any Traffic For Works
What is happening?
CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
(BRUNSWICK PLACE AREA) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any traffic to proceed on the following roads:
i. Blackett Place, from its junction with Blackett Street for its entire length.
ii. Brunswick Place, between its junctions with Blackett Place and Northumberland Court.
iii. Northumberland Court, from its junction with Blackett Street for 34 metres in a Northerly direction.
2. There is no alternative route for traffic.
3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for vehicles and personnel engaged in the said works.
5. The Order will come into operation on 20 October 2025 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 15 May 2026 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
