Bridekirk, Temporary Road Closure Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U2095 BRIDEKIRK) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the U2095 Bridekirk, from a point 100 metres south west of its southern junction with the C2038, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 70 m.
A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the C2038 and unrestricted section of the U2095.

The Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
