Fawcett Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Fawcett Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.155) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 29th September 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
FAWCETT ROAD
From its junction with Graham Road to its junction with Wheatstone Road.
NORTHCOTE ROAD
At its junction with Fawcett Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate gas works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 29th September 2025 to 10th October 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Northcote Road, Francis Avenue, Wheatstone Road, Fawcett Road, Lawrence Road, Albert Road, Fawcett Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
