What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
PROPOSAL TO EXPAND GREEN PARK SCHOOL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act (2006) and The School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations to Maintained Schools) (England) Regulations 2013 that the City of Wolverhampton Council intends to make the following prescribed alteration to:
Green Park School, Green Park Avenue, Bilston, WV14 6EH
It is proposed that the capacity of Green Park School be permanently increased by 27 places to 174.
This expansion would take effect from 1 September 2027. Green Park School is a community school currently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, with a capacity of 147 places. To support the proposed increase, an extension to the existing school building is planned within the current site to provide the necessary additional accommodation.
