EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (Public Footpath Ninfield 14a (part)) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025 To protect public safety during a housing development, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following footpath:

Temporary Footpath Closure

Part of Public Footpath Ninfield 14a will be closed to all users between TQ 7086 1208 and TQ 7093 1209 for a distance of 75 metres. An alternative route will be available along Ingrams Green.

The closure will be in force for 6 months from 27 September 2025, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpath still be unavailable to use. The East Sussex (C635 Rosemary Lane, Fairlight)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Rosemary Lane – from the junction with C23 Pett Road to the junction with C92 Pett Level Road. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C23 Pett Road, Chick Hill – C92 Pett Level Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 1 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 1 and 2 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C97 Mill Corner, Northiam)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Mill Corner – from the junction with A28 Perryman Cross to the junction with U6977 Gooseberry Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A28 Perryman Cross – U6630 New Road – C97 Mill Corner and vice versa.

The Order commences 1 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 1 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6536 Westcourt Drive, Bexhill)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.3 To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Westcourt Drive – from the junction with B2182 Cooden Drive to the junction with U6535 Terminus Avenue.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2182 Cooden Drive, Richmond Road, West Parade, Sackville roundabout, Marina, Sea Road – A269 Upper Sea Road, Buckhurst Road, Town Hall Square – B2098 Buckhurst Place, Terminus Road, Collington Avenue – U6536 Westcourt Drive and vice versa.

The Order commences 1 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 1 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6413 Mountfield Lane, Mountfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.2

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Mountfield Lane – from the junction with U6413 Kent Lane to the junction with U6413 Church Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6413 Kent Lane – C281 Hollingrove Hill – C18 Brightling Road, Station Road, High Street, George Hill – A21(T) Johns Cross Road – A2100 London Road – U6413 New Cut, Church Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 1 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 1 and 2 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Station Road – from the junction with U6425 Mill Rise to the junction with U6915 Willow Bank. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C18 Station Road, High Street, George Hill – A21(T) Johns Cross Road – A2100 London Road, Ten Sixty Six roundabout – A271 North Trade Road – B2096 Kane Hythe Road, Darwell Hill – C280 Cackle Street – C18 Rectory Hill, Brightling Road, Station Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 27 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 27 and 29 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions. To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Reg ulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under

Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road; Temporary Road Closures

Rye Hill – from the junction with C296 Military Road to the junction with A268 Rye Road.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 22 and 28 September 2025.

Rye Road – from the junction with C295 Houghton Green Lane to the junction with A268 Rye Hill. Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 18 and 25 September 2025.

Station Road – from the junction with U6938 Coppards Lane to the junction with P6957 Donsmead Drive.
