Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Oxford, A4165 Banbury Road Various Side Roads
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 22 September 2025
Coming into force: 2 October 2025
This Order is being introduced to facilitate the resurfacing of the carriageway and reinstatement of road markings, which are anticipated to be completed by 10 October 2025. Works will operate between 20:00 and 06:00hrs.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding into/from the following sideroads off the Banbury Road (between South Parks Road and Rawlinson Road).
• *Bevington Road, *North Parade Avenue, Norham Road, Canterbury Road,
Park Town, Bardwell Road, St Margarets Road.
Roads subject of ‘One-Way Traffic’ will be temporarily suspended to allow two-way access to property. The relevant parts of The Oxfordshire County Council (Walton Manor, Oxford) (Parking Places and Traffic Management) (Consolidation) Order 2003 (as amended) will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the Works. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
Two-Way traffic will be maintained on the A4165 Banbury Road throughout.
“Find Alternative Route” signage will be utilised for local traffic.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16022/AC)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Oxford, St. Giles — Temporary Parking Suspension
Date of Order: 8 September 2025
Coming into force: 16 September 2025
This Order is being introduced because of partial demolition and refurbishment of the Eagle and Child pub and Greens Café which is anticipated to be completed March 2027. This is a 24 hour parking restriction.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily suspend 9 Pay & Display and 8 bays along St Giles opposite the buildings, closure of the service road fronting the buildings and a short section of the northbound cycle lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the restrictions are in force.
The relevant parts of the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford City) (Designation and Regulation of Pay and Display Parking) Order 2017 (as amended) will be temporarily suspended. (Ref: T16307/AC)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Oxford, Little Clarendon Street
Prohibition of Through Traffic and One Way Restriction
Date of Order: 8 September 2025
Coming into force: 15 September 2025
This Order is being introduced because of scaffolding and hoarding erection and dismantling at Dartington House to allow replacement of window systems which are anticipated to be completed 9 February 2026. This is a 24 hour road closure during each of two phases as follows:
1st phase erection of scaffolding – 15 to 29 September 2025;
2nd phase dismantling 26 January to 9 February 2026.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit vehicles proceeding in Little Clarendon Street at these times. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
The One-Way restriction will be temporarily suspended during closure times to allow access from both ends of the road. The relevant parts of the Oxfordshire County Council (City of Oxford) (Central Area) (Traffic Management) (Consolidation) Order 2003 (as amended) will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the works closures.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative routes for traffic affected will be signed locally. Access for cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16175/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
A420 Botley and Cumnor to Botley
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 29 September 2025
Coming into force: 6 October 2025
This Order is being introduced because of technology surveys on the A420 eastern approach to the A34 Botley interchange and Botley Road/West Way which are anticipated to be completed 18 October 2025. These will operate overnight between 21:00 and 06:00 hours.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length A420 between Cumnor and Botley and in West Way/Botley Road between Lamarsh and Elms Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative routes for traffic will be signed accordingly.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16314/AC)
