The East Sussex (Public Footpath Ringmer 17 (part))
(Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025 To protect public safety during a housing development, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following footpath:
Temporary Footpath Closure
Part of Public Footpath Ringmer 17 will be closed to all users between TQ 4537 1295 and TQ 4556 1282 for a distance of 220 metres. An alternative route will be available around the western perimeter of the housing development.
The closure will be in force for 6 months from 1 October 2025, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpath still be unavailable to use.

The East Sussex (Public Footpath Barcombe 24 (part))
(Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025 To protect public safety while a damaged bridge is being repaired, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following footpath:
Temporary Footpath Closure
Part of Public Footpath Barcombe 24 will be closed between TQ 4390 1527 and TQ 4389 1519 for a distance of 85 metres. Use of footpath Barcombe 26 and restricted byway Barcombe 25a is suggested as an alternative route.
The Order is made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Act 1984, as amended.
The closure will be in force for 6 months from 17 September 2025, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpath still be unavailable to use.

The East Sussex (B2112 Clayton Road, Ditchling)
(Temporary 40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2025
To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following length of road to a speed not exceeding 40 mph:
Temporary 40 mph Speed Limit
Clayton Road – from the junction with C203 Beacon Road to the junction with Clayton Road (WSX).
The Order commences 18 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place on 18 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (B2102 Framfield Road, Blackboys)
(Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2025 No.2 To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following length of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:
Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit
Framfield Road – from the junction with U7404 Pump Lane to the junction with U7405 Gun Road.
The Order commences 15 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place between 15 and 26 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Holly Close – for its entire length.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 15 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 15 and 24 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure Church Road – for its entire length.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 18 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 18 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

Forest Lane – from the junction with U7911 Blackdown Lane to Hooksdown Farm.

The Order commences 15 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 15 and 19 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
The Drove – 80 metres either side of the level crossing.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C8 The Drove – U5012 Hamsey Lane – A275 Cooksbridge Road, The Street – C8 The Drove and vice versa.
The Order commenced 30 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs on 14 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

Houndean Rise – from no. 47 to the junction with U5102 Southdown Avenue.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5102 Houndean Rise and vice versa.
The Order commences 15 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 15 and 16 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C14 West Street, Mayfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

West Street – from the junction with C14 High Street to the junction with C14 Stone Cross.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C14 Stone Cross, Station Road, High Street and vice versa.
The Order commences 17 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 17 and 18 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 To allow Coppard Plant Hire Ltd to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Luxford Road – from the junction with U7169 Blackness Road to the junction with U7170 Luxford Lane.

The Order commenced 30 March 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 14 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Barr Engineering Services to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure
Barn Road – from the junction with U5137 Church Lane to the junction with U5133 Prince Charles Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U5133 Barn Road, Queens Road, Fitzgerald Road – U5137 Church Lane and vice versa.
The Order commences 17 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 17 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (Skyline Events London to Brighton Cycle Ride) (Special Event) Order 2025 To enable Skyline Events to hold the London to Brighton cycle event on Sunday 14 September 2025, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 16 A to C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily impose restrictions on the following length of road; Temporary Road Closure – from 00:01hrs to 23:59hrs on 14 September 2025
C203 Upper Beacon Road & C203 Ditchling Road, Ditchling – from the junction with B2112 Clayton Road to the Brighton & Hove county boundary.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic south via Ditchling Road toward Coldean Lane. Turn right onto Coldean Lane. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Carden Avenue. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A27 ramp to Worthing/ London/Hove/A23. Merge onto A27. Take the ramp to A23/London/ Brighton/Gatwick Airport. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto A27. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto London Road/ A23. Slight left onto A273. Turn right onto B2112 Clayton Road and vice versa.
Access by emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

The Order commences 26 September 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 26 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The Order commences 1 October 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 1 and 3 October 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
