Temporary Closure Of Various Roads (Stroud Town And Parish) Stroud District

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE -

Closed From - Upper Leazes

Closed To – Parliament Street

Total Distance – 66m

Parish/Ward – Stroud

Road Number and Name – 407628 Upper Leazes

Closed From – The Knoll

Closed To – O/S 9 Upper Leazes

The reason for the said closures is for works to lay ducting in the carriageway. There will be no waiting or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works. The said roads are expected to be closed, during various times, on a rolling programme commencing 15th September 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect.

This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated that all of the said works will be completed by 26th September 2025.

Temporary Closure C213 Ruscombe Road (Whiteshill And Ruscombe Parish) Stroud District

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C213 Ruscombe Road from its junction with Zion Hill to its junction with "The Throat" for a distance of approximately 100 metres. The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of BT Openreach.

The said road is expected to be closed between 09:30hrs and 14:30hrs on 18th September 2025 only or until the said works have been completed.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 405853 Shortwood Road from outside of the property known as 'Fairfield' to outside of the property know as 'Cobdon Villas' for a distance of approximately 400 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for telecommunication works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 17th September 2025 to 19th September 2025 or until the works have been completed.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401193 Verney Road from its junction with Rosedale Avenue to outside the property known as 'Number 7 Verney Road' for a distance of approximately 70 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for sewage repair and maintenance works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 15th September 2025 until 18th September 2025 only or until the said works have been completed.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 407586 Middle Street Uplands Road from its junction with Upper Springfield Road to outside of the property known as 'Fern Side' for a distance of approximately 40 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of the National Grid. The said road is expected to be closed from 15th September 2025 to 19th September 2025 or until the works have been completed. Temporary Closure 501156 Road From Butts Wood House To Cheltenham Road, Calfway Lane (Bisley With Lypiatt Parish) Stroud District

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 501156 Road from Butts Wood House to Cheltenham Road, and Calfway Lane from its junction with Cheltenham Road to its junction with the road from Denmans Farm to Bounce Horn Croft for a distance of approximately 1485 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for cable installation works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 17th September 2025 until 25th September 2025 only or until the said works have been completed.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the A4171 Paganhill Lane from its junction with Cainscross Roundabout to outside the property known as ‘3 Spring Bank’ for a distance of approximately 136 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for safety during the installation of overhead fibre cabling.

The said road is expected to be closed between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs on 28th September 2025 only or until the said works have been completed.

Suspension of Order

In order to facilitate the works, it will be necessary to suspend the relevant provisions, stated above, of the ‘On Street Parking Order 2017 (King Street) (Town of Stroud) (Variation) Order 2024’.There will be no waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

The reason for the said closure is for works for a "New Electrical Supply".

The said road is expected to be closed, commencing 29th September 2025, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closure is in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closure taking effect. This Order may permit the closure in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated that all works will be completed by 17th October 2025. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is earlier.

ORDER - S26 HIGHWAYS ACT 1980/ S53 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL - Public Footpath Connecting Festival Road And Public Footpath MST10 Stonehouse Parish Creation Order 2025

The above Order made on 19th August 2025 under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A (2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, if confirmed, will create the following length of public footpath: A length of public footpath connecting Festival Road and Public Footpath MST10 in the parish of Stonehouse in the County of Gloucestershire that commences at its junction with highway number 42483 known as Festival Road at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SO8027/0539 and extends in an east south easterly direction for approximately 45 metres to OSGR SO8031/0537 at its junction with Public Footpath MST10 and having a width of 2 metres.
