What is happening?
BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL
(WESTERN ROAD, BRACKNELL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council has made an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from turning right onto: a) Western Road, Bracknell from the junction of Downshire Way, Bracknell. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be via: Downshire Way, Twin Bridges Roundabout, Berkshire Way Roundabout, Easthampstead Road.
The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while Bracknell Forest Council carry out works to replace a damaged lamp column.
The Order came into operation on the 09th September 2025 and has a maximum duration of 6 months. However, It is currently planned that the closure will be in place between 09:30-15:30 on the 09th September 2025. This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
