Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Old Church Road, Clevedon, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 13 October 2025

Ref: T25-46

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of highway drainage maintenance works and will become operative on 13 October 2025, anticipated to be of 10 working days. The working hours will be 8am to 5pm. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule – Old Church Road, Clevedon from property number 90 to 105.

Alternative routes – Old Church Road, The Triangle, Kenn Road, Southern Way and vice-versa

Walton Street, Walton-in-Gordano, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 6 October 2025

Ref: T25-48

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of highway drainage maintenance works and will become operative on 6 October 2025, anticipated to be of 5 working days. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule – Walton Street, Walton-in-Gordano for entire extents.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Mendip Close, Yatton, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 13 October 2025

Ref: SW25.26-144

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to excavate and lay 4m of new main and connect to existing main. This order will become operative on the 13 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 9 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

High Street, Portbury, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 17 September 2025

Ref: T25-40

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order was required because of pre-surface dressing patching and drainage works and will become operative on 17 September 2025, anticipated to be of three shifts.

Shift one (day closure): drainage works will be carried out between 8am and 5pm.

Shift two and three (night closures): pre-surface dressing patching works will be carried out between 8pm and 6am.

The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule – High Street from the junction of Mill Lane to its junction with A369 Martcombe Road.

Alternative routes – High Street - A369 Pill Road, B3129 Beggar Bush Lane, B3128 Clevedon Road, Portbury Lane, Mill Lane, High Street (part unaffected) and vice-versa

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Horse Race Lane, Failand, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 22 September 2025

Ref: SW25.26-072

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to replace 3 stop taps and install concrete plinth. This order will become operative on the 22 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Horse Race Lane outside Failand Hill Farm for 40m.

Bishops Road, Cleeve, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 25 September 2025

Ref: SW25.26-082

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This order will become operative on the 25 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Bishops Road from junction with Graitney Close, 225m southwards.

Kingdown Road, Bristol, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 24 September 2025

Ref: SW25.26-085

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for a Pole Replacement. This order will become operative on the 24 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
