Trimley St Martin, Public Footpath Diversion & Definitive Map Modification
What is happening?
NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 -SECTION 119 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 -
Suffolk County Council Parish Of Trimley St Martin (Footpath 30 (Part) And Footpath 32(Part)) Footpath Diversion And Definitive Map And Statement Modification Order 2025
On 03/09/2025 Suffolk County Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is as follows:
a) To divert part of Trimley St Martin Footpath 30 commencing from a junction with Trimley St Martin Footpath No 31 at Ordnance Survey grid reference (OSGR) TM 27053732 and proceeding in a south-southwesterly direction to join the existing route at OSGR TM 27013712; to a new line commencing at a junction with Trimley St Martin. Footpath No 58 and the new route of Footpath No 32 at OS grid reference TM 27033733, and proceeding in a southerly direction to join the existing route at OS grid reference TM 27013712, as shown on the order map;
b) To divert part of Trimley St Martin Footpath 32 commencing from OS grid reference TM 27063763 and proceeding in south-south-westerly and southerly directions to a junction with Trimley St Martin Footpath No 58 at OS grid reference TM 27013733; to a new line commencing at OS grid reference TM 27063763 and proceeding in a south-south-westerly direction to OS grid reference TM 27033733 at a junction with Trimley St Martin Footpath No 58 and the new route of Footpath No 30, as shown on the order map.

Opening times: Sunday and Monday between 10:00am – 4:00pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 9:00am - 5.30pm, Wednesday between 9:00am - 7.30pm and Saturday between 9:00am – 5:00pm.

The order comes into force on 17/10/2025 but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, they may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the date of this notice, make an application to the High Court.
