What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

(Various Traffic Movements) (City Wide Order) 2025 –

Amendment Order No.9 2025

Prohibition Of Vehicles (Point Closure) –

Springwell Street, Holbeck, Leeds

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council, acting as Local Traffic Authority (and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers) proposes to make the above Order, the effect of which will be to introduce: A Prohibition of All Vehicles (by way of Point Closure) at all times on Springwell Street, Holbeck, Leeds; from its junction with Wellington Street, in a south-westerly direction to its intersection with Springwell Road. Details of the proposals including a plan showing the affected lengths of highway and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for the Order are available on request by e-mailing the address below. If you wish to object to, or make any representations concerning the proposed Order, you should write to TRO Team, City Development, Merrion House, Merrion Street LS2 8LX or e-mail troteam@leeds.gov.uk specifying the grounds on which your objection or representation is made, by no later than 6 October 2025

Section 90c Highways Act 1980

Proposed Traffic Calming Measures Main Street, Aberford

Leeds City Council proposes to implement the above highway improvements and is required under Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980. The proposals comprise of 1.Two road humps (approx 3.7m in length and 75mm above the carriageway) on Main Street, Aberford; at points 13.5m south of its junction with Church View and 81 metres north of its junction with Church View. 2. Full width road humps (approx 9m long and 75mm above the carriageway) on Main Street, Aberford; at a point 1m north of its junction with Manor Court. A copy of this Notice and further details of the relevant scheme are available on request by e-mailing troteam@leeds. gov.uk. If you wish to object to or make representations concerning the proposals you should e-mail troteam@leeds. gov.uk specifying the grounds on which your objection or representation is made, by no later than 3 October 2025.
