A5132 Twyford Road - Temporary Road Closure For Inspection And Maintenance Works
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE A5132 TWYFORD ROAD, WILLINGTON
WHEN: 22 to 23 September 2025 (20:00 to 06:00 only.)
WHERE: A5132 Twyford Road, Willington for a maximum distance of 25m at the rail bridge.
REASON: To facilitate inspection and maintenance works on Network Rail bridge.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A5132: The Green / The Castle Way / Carriers Road, A38 Burton Road, A50 Toyota Island, A50, Bonnie Prince Roundabout, A514 Swarkestone Road, A5132 Twyford Road
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
