What is happening?

FOOTPATH NO.15, YARM TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 5th September 2025, the Highway Authority being satisfied that access to the said footpath should be prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be carried out on or near the footpath.
The effect of the Order, which came into effect on 5th September 2025, is to temporarily close the full length of Footpath No.15, Yarm at such times as signs may be erected to notify users of the closure. It is expected that works will be carried out until approximately 19th September 2025. The Order may continue in force for a maximum period of six months, unless extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. Alternative routes will be signed on site. Access for emergency services will be maintained, access for pedestrians will not be maintained.
