What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF SLOUGH OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES 
(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2017 (AMENDMENT NO. 07) 
ORDER 2025 (Order 43 of 2025)
Sections 32 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and regulation 7 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 as amended.
1. SLOUGH BOROUGH COUNCIL gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under sections 32 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and any other enabling powers.
2. The effect of the Proposed Order is to amend The Borough of Slough Off-Street Parking Places (Consolidation) Order 2017 by:
a) establishing new car parks, as follows:
 i. Langley Leisure Centre Car Park - comprising of approximately 146 free bays, seven disabled persons ‘blue badge’ parking bays and six electric vehicle charging point bays and associated access ways, on land located between Tamar Way, Parlaunt Road and Heron Drive and Langley Leisure Centre;
 ii. Lascelles Park Car Park - comprising of approximately 39 parking spaces and two disabled persons ‘blue badge’ parking bays on land located between Nixey Close, Sussex Place and including the associated access ways to and from Lascelles Road on which would be marked double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions;
 iii. Observatory House Car Park - comprising of a loading bay (13.4 metres long, maximum 
stay 20 minutes, no return within 1 hour) and double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on land adjacent to and to the rear of Observatory House, No. 25 Windsor Road and extending between Windsor Road (service road fronting Observatory House, No. 25 Windsor Road) and Herschel Street;
 iv. Salt Hill Way Car Park - comprising of approximately 42 parking spaces, six disabled persons ‘blue badge’ parking bays and four electric vehicle charging point bays, on land located in the south-western corner of Salt Hill Park, Slough and including the associated access ways to and from Bath Road (A4) on which would be marked double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions;
 v. Slough Ice Arena Car Park - comprising of approximately 67 parking spaces, five disabled persons ‘blue badge’ parking bays and four electric vehicle charging point bays on land located between Beckwell Road, Bath Road, Church Street and including the associated access ways to and from Montem Lane on which would be marked double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions;
 vi. The Centre Car Park - comprising of approximately 178 parking spaces, 11 disabled persons ‘blue badge’ parking bays, ten electric vehicle charging point bays, and double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions, on land located between Farnham Road, Buckingham Avenue East, Whitby Road and Northampton Avenue and including the associated access way to and from Whitby Road on which would be marked double yellow line ‘at any time’ 
waiting restrictions;
 vii. Upton Court Car Park - comprising of approximately 87 parking spaces, five disabled persons ‘blue badge’ parking bays and associated access ways and is located between Datchet Road, Upton Court Road, the B376 and Upton Court Park.
 viii. Cippenham Recreation Ground Car Park – comprising of approximately 19 parking spaces, some double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions at certain locations, one disabled persons ‘blue badge’ parking bay and associated access ways, on land located between Station Road, Burnham Train Station and Compton Court;
 ix. Harvey Park Car Park - comprising of approximately 40 parking spaces, two disabled persons ‘blue badge’ parking bays and associated access ways, on land located between Tamar Way, Longwood Avenue and Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre;
 x. Manor Park Recreation Ground Car Park – comprising of approximately 26 parking spaces, two disabled persons ‘blue badge’ parking bays and associated access ways, on land located between Staunton Road, Villiers Road, Douglas Road and Beechwood Road;
 xi. Lascelles Park: Land to the east of the entrance to Lascelles Park Car Park – comprising of approximately 1 large parking space and associated access ways, on land located between Upton Road, Sussex Place, Upton Court Road and Lascelles Road;
b) specifying the car parks referred to in paragraphs 2(a) i – vii of this Notice would be open all day, every day and introduce a charge as stated in Schedule C in the Proposed Order.
c) specifying the car parks referred to in paragraphs 2(a) viii – x of this Notice would be open all day, every day without a charge but have a maximum stay as stated in Schedule C in the Proposed Order.
d) specifying the car park referred to in paragraphs 2(a) xi of this Notice would be open all day, every day without a charge but operate as an SBC permit bay as stated in Schedule C in the Proposed Order.
3. Each car park offers a free period of parking to all to road users. These limitations also apply to blue badge holders in both disabled bays and other parking bays. After the free period of parking has elapsed, blue badge holders must either pay (if charges apply to the car park) or exit the car park 
(if no charges apply to the car park).
4. Provisions have previously been added to the consolidation Order under a previous Order – The Borough of Slough Off-Street Parking Places (Consolidation) Order 2017 (Amendment no 4) Order 2021 (Order 33 of 2021), that prohibit leaving vehicles on double yellow lines and yellow 
hatched markings and allowing for the provision and use of SBC permit bays and loading bays.
5. A copy of the Proposed Order, plans showing details of the Order and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make it may be inspected on the Council’s website at https://www.slough.gov.uk/consultations-petitions/public-notices-orders/3.
6. Anyone wishing to object to the Proposed Order may do by writing to the address below. The objection must be made in writing, stating the grounds on which it is made, and must be sent so as to arrive no later than three weeks from the date of this Notice.
