Nether Wasdale, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Highway Repair Works

What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C4019 NETHER WASDALE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable repair works highway repairs works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C4019 Nether Wasdale from its junction with the C4018, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 3.1km

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of C4019, C4018 Gosforth, C4026 Santon Bridge and C4025.

The Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 20 days, between 0800 and 1600 hours each day, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
