Copeland, Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U4226 TODHOLES ROAD, CLEATOR MOOR AND U4032 EAST ROAD, EGREMONT) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

1. U4226, Todholes Road, Cleator Moor from a point adjacent to the No.24 Todholes Road, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 130m.

   There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

   Duration: From 1 October 2025 for approx. 2 days between 1800 and 2200 hours, each day (Ref: TTROC/15796)

2. U4032, East Road, Egremont from its junction with Dent View extending in an overall southerly direction for approx. 440m to its junction with East Road Roundabout.

   There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

   Duration: From 13 October 2025 for approx. 2 days between 1800 and 2200 hours, each day (Ref: TTROC/15836)

   A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 1 October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months.

However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
