LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ROSSENDALE ROAD, BURNLEY,
BURNLEY BOROUGH)
(REVOCATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 02 September 2025 Lancashire County Council made the above Speed Limit Order under Sections 82(2) and 83(2) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to revoke the “Lancashire County Council (Rossendale Road, Burnley, Burnley Borough) (Revocation and 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2024” in full.
Where no further speed limit is re-introduced, the speed limit will revert to restricted road status by virtue of street lighting, where a 30mph speed limit will apply.
This Order will come into force on the 15 September 2025. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Burnley Borough Council, Town Hall, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 9SA, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
