What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT, 1991
WALSALL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC)
(VARIOUS ROADS) ORDER No.2 SEPTEMBER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicles proceeding in that length of:
* STAFFORD STREET, WILLENHALL that is situated from its junction with Market Place to its junction with Union Street. (Monday 22 September 2025 to Wednesday 24 September 2025) (18:00 – 06:00 only).
Reason for Order: Meter Renewal.
Works on behalf of: Severn Trent Water.
* PARGETER STREET, WALSALL that is situated at its junction with A454 Wolverhampton Road. (Monday 22 September 2025 to Monday 6 October 2025).
Reason for Order: Gas main replacement.
Works on behalf of: Cadent.
The Walsall Metropolitan Borough (Pargeter Street, Walsall) (One-Way Traffic) Order, 1977 will be temporarily suspended on the dates and at the times the road is closed, in order that access to and from affected properties can be maintained.
* GLAMIS ROAD, WILLENHALL that is situated at its junction with Sandringham Avenue. (Monday 22 September 2025 to Friday 3 October 2025).
Reason for Order: Gas main replacement.
Works on behalf of: Cadent.
* LICHFIELD ROAD SERVICE ROAD, WILLENHALL that is situated from property number 38 to property number 64. (Monday 22 September 2025 to Friday 3 October 2025).
Reason for Order: Gas main replacement.
Works on behalf of: Cadent.
* SANDRINGHAM AVENUE, WILLENHALL that is situated from its junction with A4124 Lichfield Road to its junction with Balmoral Drive. (Monday 22 September 2025 to Friday 17 October 2025).
Reason for Order: Gas main replacement.
Works on behalf of: Cadent.
This Order will come into operation on Monday 22 September 2025. It is anticipated that the works will be completed as close as possible to the dates above. Signed diversion routes (viewable on the website one.network) will be in operation for affected traffic. The Order will remain in force for a period of up to eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
