Banbury Area: A361 Southam Road, A361 North Bar/Horsefair/South Bar, A361 Bloxham Road - Speed Limits

OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(BANBURY AREA) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the order is to replace the existing 30mph speed limit with a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

1. A361 Southam Road – from its junction with the A361 North Bar Street, B4100 Warwick Road, and Castle Street northwards to a point 45 metres north if its junction with Coopers Gate,
2. A361 North Bar/Horsefair/South Bar – for its entire length.
3. B4100 Oxford Road from its junction with the A361 Bloxham Road/A361 South Bar, southwards to a point 40 metres south of Old Parr Road
4. A361 Bloxham Road from its junction with the A361 South Bar/B4100 Oxford Road, south-westwards to a point 25 metres northeast of its junction with Beargarden Road

The Oxfordshire County Council (Banbury Area) (Speed Limits) (No.2) Order 2025 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the end of 10 October 2025.
