What is happening?

(BRIGHOUSE) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2008 
(VARIATION NO.1) ORDER 2025
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that on 3 September 2025 the Borough Council of Calderdale (“the Council”) in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) made the above Orders, the effects of which are: The Borough Council of Calderdale (Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Brighouse) (Consolidation) Order 2008 (Variation No.1) Order 2025

No waiting at any time Parsonage Lane
Limited Waiting Monday to Saturday
8am - 6pm waiting limited to
30 minutes return prohibited
within 1 hour

The Order will come into effect on 8 September 2025.
Copies of the Orders, the statement of reasons for them and plans showing the affected roads, are available for inspection at Halifax Central Library, Halifax, HX1 1QG, from 10.00 am to 5.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays and 10.00 am to 4.00 pm on Saturdays or from the Council’s website at https://new.calderdale.gov.uk/streets-and-transport/transport-initiatives/ tro/current-tro/elland-future-high-street-fund-informal.

Alternatively details and copies of the documents can be viewed on https://calderdale.traffweb.app/traffweb/2/PublicConsultation until 15th September 2025. After that date details will be available at https://calderdale.traffweb.app/traffweb/1/TrafficOrders

Alternatively, documents can be made available on request via email (ProposedTRO@calderdale.gov.uk) or telephone 01422 288001 or 288002.
If you wish to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the ground that they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, you may within 6 weeks from the date on which the relevant Order was made (i.e. 3 September 2025) apply to the High Court for this purpose.
