Quarry Road, Morley - Temporary Road Closure to Facilitate Carriageway Patching and Resurfacing
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE QUARRY ROAD, MORLEY
WHEN: 24 September to 25 September 2025 (07:00 to 18:00 each day)
WHERE: Quarry Road, Morley between the Jct. of Morley Almshouses Lane, and the Jct. of Brick Kiln Lane.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway patching and resurfacing.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Brick Kiln Lane, Main Road, Mansfield Road, Brookside Road, Rectory Lane, Moor Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
