North Petherton - Temporary Road Closures due to Water Main Replacement Works

What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of North Petherton

Temporary Closure of Cliff Road, Farringdon Lane and Clavelshay Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along:

Cliff Road - from the junction with Clavelshay Road to the junction with Shovel Road; Farringdon Lane - from the junction with Clavelshay Road, southwards for a distance of 890 metres and Clavelshay Road - from the junction with Cliff Road, westwards for a distance of 26 metres. A total distance of 1,296 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out water main replacement works.

The Order becomes effective on 23rd September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 29th September 2025 and last until 13th February 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 138 days.
