Suffok, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1117 UBBESTON GREEN, LAXFIELD ROAD AND CHURCH ROAD, UBBESTON AND HEVENINGHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:
B1117 Ubbeston Green, Ubbeston from Clay Hill to Laxfield Road
B1117 Laxfield Road, Ubbeston
B1117 Laxfield Road, Heveningham
B1117 Church Road, Heveningham from Laxfield to Low Road
This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1117, the A144, the A12, the A1120, the B1116, the B1117 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 10/09/2025 – 12/09/2025 from 10am – 3pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7338 FLAX LANE, GLEMSFORD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U7338 Flax Lane, Glemsford from Sunny Side for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Hobbs Lane, the A1092, the B1065 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 10/09/2025 from 12pm – 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF CROWN LANE FOOTWAY AND MALLETS LANE FOOTWAY, ORFORD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following footways in the following phases:
Crown Lane Footway, Orford from the junction with Castles Terrace to the junction with Broad Street
Mallets Lane Footway, Orford from the junction with Market Hill to the junction with Broad Street
This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians.
It is intended that the closures will operate from:
10/09/2025 – 16/09/2025
12/09/2025 – 18/09/2025
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
