Winchester, Temporary Road Closures Due To Marwell 10k Running Event

What is happening?

Hampshire County Council Temporary Road Closures Various Roads, Owslebury, Winchester. Marwell 10k 2025 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 to allow for the event to take place on the date Sunday 28th September 2025. ROADS TO BE CLOSED: those parts of the following roads: 1) Thompsons Lane between its junction with B2177 and its junction with Whaddon Lane. 2) Whaddon Lane between its junction with Thompsons Lane and its junction with Main Road. 3) Main Road between its junction with Whaddon Lane and its junction with Baybridge Lane. 4) Baybridge Lane between its junction with Main Road and its junction with Lower Baybridge Lane. 5) Lower Baybridge Lane between its junction with Baybridge Lane and its junction with Whaddon Lane. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: 1) N/A DURATION OF ORDER: on Sunday 28th September 2025 between the hours 08:30 10:30 for 1 day or until the works have ended, whichever is sooner. This road closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Running Mania to carry out Marwell 10k. Running Mania will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the event is being carried out.
