What is happening?
WAKEFIELD COUNCIL (SPEED LIMIT) (NO 4) ORDER 2025
GARDEN LANE & SURROUNDING STREETS, KNOTTINGLEY
The Council of the City of Wakefield proposes to make the above order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which, in relation to roads at Knottingley, will be to:
Introduce a 20mph speed limit along the following roads:-
• Garden Lane
• St Boltophs Close
• Primrose Hill
• Tithe Barn Road
• Primrose Vale
• Willow road
• Ropewalk

It does include copies of plans showing the proposed changes to the road as well as a Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order. If you have any queries regarding the order, please email trafficregs@wakefield.gov.uk. If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection in writing or by email to trafficregs@wakefield.gov.uk to reach the undersigned by not later than 2nd October 2025 quoting reference SLO/25 4.
