What is happening?

WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
(VARIOUS ROADS, BOUGHTON)
(20 MPH ZONE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a 20 miles per hour speed limit zone on the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to the Order and in the Schedule below.

The 20 mph Zone will include existing and new traffic calming measures in accordance with the provisions of the Highways (Traffic Calming) Regulations 1999 and the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016, including but not limited to speed humps, cushions, buildouts and other physical measures to encourage compliance with the reduced speed limit. A copy of the draft Order, together with a plan showing the exact lengths of road to which it relates and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected on the Council’s website at: www.westnorthants.gov.uk and search for traffic regulation orders

MAKING REPRESENTATIONS OR OBJECTIONS Persons wishing to make comments, representations or object to the Order, must do so by sending them in writing to “the Traffic Orders Section, Kier Highways, Highways Depot, Old Harborough Road, Brixworth, NN6 9BX” or by email; WNCParkingenquiries@ kier.co.uk by 2nd October 2025 quoting reference P2110.
