HYSBYSIR drwy hyn fod Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd, wrth arfer ei bwerau dan Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), mewn dim llai na 7 diwrnod i ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn, yn bwriadu creu gorchymyn a fydd yn gwahardd unrhyw gerbyd rhag mynd ar hyd Christchurch Road o Whitstone Road i 224 Christchurch Road, Casnewydd.

Mae’r llwybr amgen ar hyd Christchurch Hill, Royal Oak Hill, Chepstow Road a Beechwood Road, Casnewydd.

Y rheswm dros wneud y gorchymyn yw i ganiatáu adnewyddu’r brif bibell nwy. Bydd y gorchymyn arfaethedig ar waith o 29 Medi 2025 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod o 18 mis neu nes bod y gwaith wedi ei gwblhau, pa un bynnag fydd gyntaf.

Disgwylir i’r gwaith bara 14 diwrnod. Bydd mynediad i gerddwyr drwy’r adeg a chaiff mynediad brys ei roi ar fyrder.

NEWPORT CITY COUNCIL

(CHRISTCHURCH ROAD, NEWPORT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Newport City Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Christchurch Road from Whitstone Road to 224 Christchurch Road, Newport.

The alternative route is via Christchurch Hill, Royal Oak Hill, Chepstow Road and Beechwood Road, Newport.

The reason for making the order is gas mains replacement work. The proposed order will be operative from 29th September 2025 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months or until works have been completed, if earlier.

The anticipated duration of the works is 14 days.

Pedestrian access will be available at all times and emergency access will be made quickly available.
