NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council as highway authority for the Borough of Rotherham has made the above-mentioned Order on the 9th. September 2025 and which comes into effect on the 15th. September 2025.
Notice of the proposal for making the Order was published in the Rotherham Advertiser on the 10th. October 2024 and is to introduce ‘No Waiting at any Time’ to the parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice.

The west side, from the extended northern kerb line of North Farm Close, for a distance of 81m in a northerly direction.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of that Act or of any relevant regulations made there under has not been complied with in any way, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for that purpose to the High Court.

PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.18 GREASBROUGH ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath No.18 Greasbrough from a point on Mangham Road at Grid Ref SK 4295 9433 and proceeding in a generally south easterly direction then in a north easterly direction and then in a south south easterly direction for 578m to a point on Rotherham Road at Grid Reference SK 4330 9412 from 10pm on Monday 15th. September until 6am on Tuesday 16th. September 2025.
NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for pedestrians affected by the Order.
Reason for the prohibition – because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (vegetation removal works)

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF GODSTONE ROAD MOORGATE ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Godstone Road at its junction with A618 Moorgate Road from Monday 22nd. September until Friday 24th. October 2025.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Godstone Road, Tooker Road, Gerard Road, A618 Moorgate Road, and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Wall repairs at the junction of A618 Moorgate Road and Godstone Road).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF WINTERWELL ROAD WEST MELTON ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Winterwell Road from its junction with Princess Street for a distance of approximately 28 metres in a south westerly direction from Monday 15th. September until Sunday 28th. September 2025. Access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Princess Street, Melton High Street, Oak Lea Avenue, Winterwell Road and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Sewer connections).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the three parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice from 11pm on Saturday 13th. September until 5am on Sunday 14th. September 2025.
The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Replacement of overhead pylon lines).
SCHEDULE
1. A630 Rotherway from its junction with A630/A631 West Bawtry Road to its junction with Rotherham Gateway M1 roundabout (the alternative route will be via A630 West Bawtry Road, A630 Centenary Way, A6178 Sheffield Road and M1 J34 Tinsley).
2. A630 Rotherham GatewayM1 Roundabout (there is no alternative route, entry and exit slip roads from M1 will be be closed both north and southbound).
3. A630 Rotherham Gateway in both directions between the Rotherham Gateway M1 roundabout and its junctions with both the Europa Link exit slip road and the Poplar Way exit slip road (the alternative route will be via A630 West Bawtry Road, A630 Centenary Way, A6178 Sheffield Road J34 Tinsley, A631 Shepcote Lane, Europa Link and vice versa).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice from Monday 15th. September until Friday 19th. September and from Monday 13th. October until Wednesday 15th. October 2025 between 10pm and 5am each day.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via A6123 Great Eastern Way Roundabout, A6123 Great Eastern Way, A6123 Taylors Lane Roundabout, A633 Rotherham Road, A633 Rotherham Road Roundabout, A633 St Anns Road, A633 Grafton Bridge Roundabout, A630 St Anns Roundabout, A630 Fitzwilliam Road, A630 Mushroom Roundabout, A6123 Aldwarke Lane, A6123 Aldwarke Road and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Works to Telecommunications mast).
SCHEDULE
(i) A 6123 Aldwarke Road from its junction with A6123 Great Eastern Way roundabout to its junction with A6123 Aldwarke Lane.
(ii) A 6123 Aldwarke Lane from its junction with A6123 Aldwarke Road for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along Public Footpath No.8 Woodsetts from Monday 15th. September until Monday 1st. December 2025.
NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for pedestrians affected by the Order.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Excavation works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Nursery Road from a point approximately 35m east of its junction with A618 High Street for a distance of approximately 135m in an easterly direction from Tuesday 16th. September until Friday 19th. September 2025.
NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (new water connection).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along Corporation Street eastern footway from Saturday 20th. September 2025 until Wednesday 18th. March 2026.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians will be via the footways adjacent to Upper Millgate, Church Street, Market Street and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Hague Lane from its junction with Cortworth Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a southerly direction from Monday 22nd. September until Friday 17th. October 2025.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Main Street, Barrow Hill, Dike Hill, Harley Road, Sheffield Road, Kirby Lane, Barnsley Road, Chapelfield Road, Wentworth Road, Hague Lane and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (pipe installation).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians proceeding along the part of Wensleydale Road Footpath at the subway/underpass of Roughwood Road approximately 58m east of property no.521 Roughwood Road from Monday 22nd. September until Friday 26th. September 2025.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians affected by the Order will be via the footways adjacent to Lapwater Walk, Lapwater Road and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibition is works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Subway closure for maintenance).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Doncaster Place from a point approximately 50m southeast of its junction with Doncaster Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction on Tuesday 23rd. September 2025.
NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (water pressure investigation).

GRANGE LANE THORPE HESLEY AND
DROPPINGWELL ROAD KIMBERWORTH ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND
TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT LIMIT RESTRICTION)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to:-
1. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Grange Lane from a point mid way under the M1 overpass for a distance of approximately 200m in a northerly direction on Tuesday 23rd. September 2025.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Grange Lane, Upper Wortley Road, Droppingwell Road, New Droppingwell Road, Grange Mill Lane and vice versa.
2. Temporarily suspend the 7.5 tonne weight limit restriction along Droppingwell Road to allow vehicles diverted off Grange Lane On Tuesday 23rd. September 2025.
The reason for the prohibition and temporary suspension of 7.5 tonne weight limit restriction is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (vegetation removal around HV lines).
