Geary Lane, Bretby - Temporary Road Closure to Facilitate Installation and Maintenance of Fibre Assets
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
GEARY LANE, BRETBY
WHEN: 23 September to 30 September 2025
WHERE: Geary Lane, Bretby from its Jct. with A511 Ashby Road East for an approx. distance of 570m north.
REASON: To facilitate installation and maintenance of fibre assets.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A511 Ashby Road East / Ashby Road, Bretby Lane, Mount Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
