Buckinghamshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

(Tilehouse Ln, Denham) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025

which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Tilehouse Ln for approx. 171M.

Alternative route: Tilehouse Way, North Orbital Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst a gas mains replacement commences on 22 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 22 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Hare Ln, Little Kingshill) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025

which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Hare Ln for approx. 252M.

Alternative route: Hare Ln, Windsor Ln and vice versa. The closure is required whilst a gas mains replacement commences on 15 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 15 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Kiln Ln, Hedgerley) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025

which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Kiln Ln for approx. 596M.

Alternative route: Andrew Hill Ln, Parish Ln, Hedgerley Hill, Cottage Park Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst CityFibre works commence on 10 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 10 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Long Bottom Ln, Seer Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025

which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Long Bottom Ln for approx. 786M.

Alternative route: Jordans Ln, Twitchells Ln, Newbarn Ln, Chalfont Rd, School Ln, Bayne Hill and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Cadent Gas works commence on 22 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 22 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Temple End, High Wycombe) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025

which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Temple End for approx. 30M.

Alternative route: Hughenden Rd, Glenisters Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Thames Water works commence on 15 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 15 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

(Byway Open To All Traffic No. 57, Parish Of Chalfont St Giles) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025

under Section 14(1) of the Rd Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any vehicles from proceeding, except for access, in Byway Open to All Traffic No. 57, Parish of Chalfont St Giles from the junction of Nightingales Ln and Kings Rd continuing South for approx. 65M to the junction of Kings Rd and Gorelands Ln.

The closure is required whilst surfacing works are being carried out.

There is no suitable alternative route. The proposed Order will come into operation on 1 September 2025, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.

(Public Footpath No.16, Parish of Grendon Underwood) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025

under Section 14(1) of the Rd Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath No.16, Grendon Underwood commencing at Grendon Rd and continues south east for approx. 118M to the junction opposite Park Rd. The closure is required allow for works to proceed in connection with approved development (21/02851/AOP).

Alternative route is via the existing Highway. The Order will come into operation on 1 September 2025, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.

(Public Footpath No.17, Parish of Grendon Underwood) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025

under Section 14(1) of the Rd Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath No.17, Parish of Grendon Underwood commencing at the junction of Public Footpath No.11, Parish of Edgcott south for approx. 415M. The closure is required allow for works to proceed in connection with approved development (21/02851/AOP).

Alternative route is via the existing Highway. The Order will come into operation on 1 September 2025, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(Public Bridleway No. 14/1, Parish of Weston Turville) (Temporary Bridleway Closure) Order 2025

under Section 14(1) of the Rd Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Bridleway No.14/1, which commences at the junction with Church Ln and continues south for approx. 300M to the junction of WT/13.

The closure is required in the interest of public safety due to failed bridge replacement. There is no suitable alternative route.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 12 September 2025, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
