What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KENILWORTH DRIVE, CROXLEY GREEN) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kenilworth Drive, Croxley Green from its junction with Manor Way south eastwards for a distance of approximately 70m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Manor Way, Baldwins Lane, Durants Drive and Kenilworth Drive.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE COURTWAY, CARPENTERS PARK) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Courtway, Carpenters Park from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.17 The Courtway north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 42m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via The Courtway, Greenfield Avenue and The Courtway.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ELM AVENUE, WATFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Elm Avenue, Watford from a point in line with the north western boundary of No.15 Elm Avenue south eastwards for its entire length (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are in progress and vehicular access to properties situated on this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HARTHALL LANE, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER No.6 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Harthall Lane, Kings Langley from its junction with Bedmond Road south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Railway Terrace, a distance of approximately 2478m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Bedmond Road, Hyde Lane and Toms Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LOUVAIN WAY, WATFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Louvain Way, Watford from its northwestern junction with Wall Hall Drive northwards to its northeastern junction with Weall Green, a distance of approximately 59m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Louvain Way, Horseshoe Lane, Newhouse Crescent, The Brow and Louvain Way.

The Order is needed because installation of new telecoms pole is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGH STREET, RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of High Street, Rickmansworth from its junction with Western Way south westwards to its junction with Wensum Way, a distance of approximately 376m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Northway, Station Road, Homestead Road, A412 Rectory Road and Northway or via Wensum Way, A412 (Rectory Road/Park Road) and High Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 26 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STATION ROAD, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Station Road, Kings Langley from a point 278m south east of its junction with Home Park Mill Link south eastwards for a distance of approximately 87m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Station Road, Home Park Mill Link, A4145 (Watford Road/High Street/Hempstead Road/London Road), A414 (Two Waters Way/Two Waters Road), A414 St Albans Road, A412 (Liverstock Green Way/Liverstock Green Road), Bedmond Road, Church Hill, High Street, Bedmond Road, High Street, Gallows Hill Lane and Station Road.

The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 26 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE A41 WESTBOUND SLIP ROAD LEADING ONTO THE A405 NORTH ORBITAL ROAD/HIGH ROAD ROUNDABOUT, WOODSIDE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the westbound slip road leading onto the A405 North Orbital Road/High Road roundabout, Woodside at the A41 from North Western Avenue south eastwards and southwards to the A405 North Orbital Road/High Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 365m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A41 North Western Avenue, the A411 Hempstead Road/A411 Hempstead Road roundabout and A41 North Western Avenue.

The Order is needed because service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HEYSHAM DRIVE, SOUTH OXHEY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Heysham Drive, South Oxhey south westwards from its junction with Foxgrove Path north eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 647m (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are in progress and vehicular access to properties situated on this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because ground and construction works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BATCHWORTH LANE, NORTHWOOD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Batchworth Lane, Northwood from its junction with A4251 Sandy Lane south westwards to its junction with Parington Place, a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A4125 (Sandy Lane/Watford Road), Eastbury Avenue, Davenham Avenue and Batchworth Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 September 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
