(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025

The Scottish Borders Council (South Street & Market Square, Duns) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:00 on 15 September 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 19 September 2025. The Order is required for Scottish Water manhole works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along South Street and Market Square, Duns, from junction with Brierybaulk to junction with Murray Street.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Market Square, Easter Street, Currie Street, Newtown Street, Langtongate and South Street to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
