(Earnley: Briton Drive & Adjoining Roads)
(20mph Speed Limit) Order 202*
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to introduce a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a 20mph on Briton Drive, Cissa Crescent, Mallow Close, Saxon End, Sea Lavender Way and Sloe Lane.
Full details of the proposals in this Notice can be viewed on our website www.westsussex.gov.uk/tro. The website includes a response form for comments or objections.
Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.

Goodwood Revival 2025)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: -
(i) Prohibit vehicles from travelling along: Claypit Lane, from Madgwick Lane northwards to New Road; Kennel Hill Road, from New Road northwards to Racecourse Road; Lower Road, from Fordwater Road northwards to Pook Lane; Madgwick Lane, from Old Place Lane north-eastwards to Claypit Lane; New Road, from Claypit Lane eastwards to the A285; Pook Lane, from Fordwater Road eastwards to Kennel Hill Road; Redvins Road, from the A285 to New Barn Hill; Waterbeach Road, from New Road northwards to Hat Hill Road; Westerton Lane, from New Road to Claypit Lane; and
(ii) Require all vehicles to travel at a speed not exceeding 30mph on: Claypitt Lane, from New Road to Madgwick Lane; Garden Furze, from New Road to Hat Hill Road; Hat Hill Road, from a point 1.25miles south of Racecourse Road southwards to Garden Furze; Madgwick Lane, from Claypit Lane to Old Place Lane; New Road, from Waterbeach Road westwards for a distance of 1.7miles; Trundle Hill/Kennel Hill Road, from a point 0.75miles south of Knights Hill southwards to New Road; and
(iii) Require all vehicles to travel at a speed not exceeding 40mph on: Hat Hill Road, from Racecourse Road southwards for a distance of 1.25miles; New Road, from the A285 westwards to Waterbeach Road; Racecourse Road, from Trundle Hill eastwards to Hat Hill Road; Trundle Hill, from Knights Hill southwards for 0.75miles; and
(iv) Prohibit vehicles from: making a right turn from Goodwood Motor Circuit Gate 1 onto Claypit Lane; from making a right turn from Westerton Lane onto Claypit Lane; from making right turns onto Claypit Lane from ‘C’ carpark exits C1 and C2; from making a right turn from Claypit Lane into Goodwood Motor Circuit Gate 1; from making a right turn from Goodwood Motor Circuit Gate 11 onto New Road; from making left or right turns onto New Road from ‘B’ carpark; from making a left turn from Redvins Lane onto Garden Furze; from making a left turn from T1 Offices onto New Road; and
(v) Prohibit any vehicles from waiting at any time on lengths of: the west side of Claypit Lane; on both sides of Westerton Lane.
This Order is necessary to protect public safety and manage safe access for vehicles and pedestrians during the build, holding of and breaking down of the Goodwood Revival event 2025. The Order will come into operation at 0600 hours on 11 September 2025 and will remain in force until 1700 hours on 15 September 2025.
The road closures will be in place between 0600 hours and 2100 hours on 12, 13 and 14 September 2025. The restricted speed limits will be in place from 0800 hours on 11 September 2025 until 1700 hours on 15 September 2025. The prohibited manoeuvres will be in place from 0600 hours on 11 September 2025 until 1700 hours on 15 September 2025. The waiting restrictions as indicated by traffic cones will be in place between 0800 hours on 11 September 2025 until 1700 hours on 15 September 2025.
All alternative routes will be clearly signed on site as necessary.

(Bersted: North Bersted Street) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close North Bersted Street in Bersted, from a point 60m south of its junction with Burberry Close, southwards to its junction with Chichester Road.
The road closure is needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 15 September 2025 and remain in force until 4 October 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Walberton: Tye Lane) (30 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact the recently installed 30 MPH Speed limit on Tye Lane in Walberton, from its junction with The Street, northwards for 240m.
A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 15 September 2025, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 11 September 2025, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Bognor Regis: Public Footpath 3080) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpath 3080 in Bognor Regis from its junction with Ivy Lane to its junction with Highcroft Avenue.
The closure of this route is needed to allow the railway footbridge to be replaced safely.
The Order will come into effect on 30 September 2025 and remain in force for up to 6 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
Unfortunately, during the operative period of the Order, no alternative route is available via the public rights of way network.
