What is happening?

BARNSLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BARNSLEY
(BARNSLEY NORTH EAST AREA) (TRAFFIC REGULATION CONSOLIDATION)
ORDER 2018 (AMENDMENT NO. 16) ORDER 2025
The above-named Order will come into effect on 8th September 2025 and prohibit waiting at any time on the specified sections on the south east, south west and north west sides on the un-named access road to Darton Primary School, Darton. The Order will also prohibit waiting between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays on specified sections of the same road on the south east and south west sides.

The Order will also revoke previous restrictions prohibiting waiting at any time on the specified sections of the south east and south west side of the un-named access road to Darton Primary School, Darton.

Documents relating to this matter may be viewed at the Library @ the Lightbox, 1 The Glass Works, Barnsley and Mapplewell and Staincross Library, Mapplewell and Staincross Village Hall, Darton Lane, Mapplewell, Barnsley, S75 6AL during normal opening hours.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks from 5th September 2025 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
