What is happening?

SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL

TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR DAY HOUSE LANE, THAMESDOWN DRIVE AND FRANKLAND ROAD

Notice is HEREBY GIVEN that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL intend to make the following Orders under the relevant sections of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:

ST/TRO/Day House Lane 30mph. Swindon Borough Council (Various Roads, Swindon) (Speed Limits) Consolidation Order 2022 (Variation No. 4) 2025. Introduce a 30mph speed limit on Day House Lane.

ST/TRO/Day House Lane DYLR. Swindon Borough Council (Waiting and Loading Restrictions and Parking Places Consolidation) Order 2021 (Variation No. 39) Order 2025. Introduce ‘no waiting at any time’ restriction on Day House Lane, Swindon.

ST/TRO/Thamesdown Drive. The Swindon Borough Council (Various Roads, Swindon) (Prohibition Of Driving) Consolidation Order 2023 Amendment Order (No. 5) 2025. Introduce a prohibition of U turn on Thamesdown Drive east and west bound carriageways at the junctions with Redhouse Way, Salzgitter Drive, Elstree Way, Lady Lane, North Swindon District Centre and Eastbury Way.

ST/TRO/Frankland Road. Swindon Borough Council (Waiting and Loading Restrictions and Parking Places Consolidation) Order 2021 (Variation No.8) Order 2025. To vary the ‘no waiting at any time’ restriction on Frankland Road (north side) at the Pegasus Site.

Objections or representations to any of the above proposed Order should be made by completing the consultation form which can be found at www.swindon.gov.uk/trafficregulationorders under ‘Stage 2 – Formal consultation’ quoting the relevant reference by no later than 28 September 2025. Any objection or representation received will form part of a public record, which may be made publicly available.
