Market Place, Melbourne - Temporary Road Closure For Gas Mains Replacement Scheme
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE MARKET PLACE, MELBOURNE
WHEN: 29 September to 05 October 2025
WHERE: Market Place, Melbourne between its Jct. with Potter Street and its Jct. with Church Street.
REASON: To facilitate gas mains replacement scheme.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Market Place, High Street, Ashby Road B587: Robinsons Hill / Cockshut Lane, Derby Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
