Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C218 (Part), Keevil; from its property known as No.74 High Street to its property known as Longleaze Farm to enable Wessex Water to carry out fire hydrant and associated works. Alternative route via C218 (unaffected length) – C233 – A361 – A350 – A319 – C218 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 for 2 days. B) Leigh Grove (Part), Bradford on Avon; from a point approximately 95m northwest of its junction with B3105 for a distance of approximately 225m in a north westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry replacement of 3 poles and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 10 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 1 day. C) B3353 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Broadmead to its junction with Monks Lane to enable Openreach to carry out duct laying works and other associated works. Alternative route via B3353 (unaffected length) – Shaw Hill – Folly Lane – Bath Road – Wormwood – Bradford Road – Pickwick – B3353 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 1 day. D) Leafy Lane (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Springfield Close to its junction with Trenchar Avenue to enable Wessex Water to carry out water mains supply works and other associated works. Alternative route via Leafy Lane (unaffected length) – A4 – B3109 – Boxfields Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and the closure will be required until 31 October 2025. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600.

E) UC 916904 (Part), Lacock; from its junction with UC 916902 for a distance of approximately 30m in an easterly direction.

F) UC 916902 (Part), Lacock; from its junction with UC 916904 for a distance of approximately 30m in a southerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out urgent bridge repairs and associated works. Alternative route via UC 916904 (unaffected length) – UC 926801 – C155 – C150 – UC 916902 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This closure which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and the closure will be required until 10 October 2025. G) C270 (Part), Horningsham, Longbridge Deverill and Corsley; from its junction with Gentle Street to its junction with A362 to enable Longleat Enterprises Ltd to carry out fireworks display. This Order will come into operation on 12 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 13:00 and 21:00 until 14 September 2025. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Phase 1: A361 (Part) Westbound Carriageway, Trowbridge; from its roundabout junction with West Ashton Road to its roundabout junction with Longfield Road.

Phase 2: A361 (Part) Eastbound Carriageway, Trowbridge; from its roundabout junction with Longfield Road to its roundabout junction with West Ashton Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway surfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A361 (unaffected length) – A350 – A363 – A361 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 08 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 weekdays only until 18 September 2025. The phases will run consecutively. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
