Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -

The Isle of Wight Council (Cycle Track from Newport to Cowes, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Cycle track Closure) Order No 3 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for 7 weeks between Monday 15 September 2025, and Friday 31 October 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any cyclist to proceed along Cycle Track from Newport to Cowes, Newport. From its junctions with Stag Lane and its junction with Dodnor Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during re decking works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Downend Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 15 September 2025 until 1700 hours on Friday 19 September 2025, or when the works has been completed, High Street, Cowes will be closed between its junction with Market Slip - Access Road, Cowes, and its junction with Watch House Lane, Cowes The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

The one-way restriction will be revoked along the following lengths of road a) Bath Road, between its junctions with Watch House Lane and its junction with the Parade and b) High Street, Cowes, between its junctions with Sun Hill and its junction with Market Hill. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The revocations are required during utility works in the area.

The Isle of Wight Council (Mitchell Avenue, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1900 hours on Tuesday 16 September 2025 until 0600 hours on Wednesday 17 September 2025, or when the works has been completed, Mitchell Avenue will be closed for its entire length. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1900 hours on Tuesday 16 September 2025 until 0600 hours on Wednesday 17 September 2025, or when the works has been completed, Park Road will be closed between its junctions with Princes Street and Victoria Road. The Isle of Wight Council (Egypt Hill, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 15 September 2025 until 1700 hours on Monday 13 October 2025, or when the works has been completed, Egypt Hill will be closed for its entire length. The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between either 0600 and 1800 or 1800 and 1600 hours between Friday 12 September 2025 and Friday 24 October 2025 for approx 1-15 day, or when the works has been completed, the one-way restriction will be revoked along the following lengths of road a) Western Road, Shanklin, for its entire length and b) Albert Road, Shanklin, between its junctions with Garfield Road and Hatherton Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The revocations are required during works in the area.

The Isle of Wight Council (Bernard Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 2 2025

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between either 0600 and 1800 or 1800 and 1600 hours between Friday 12 September 2025 and Friday 24 October 2025 for approx 1-15 days, or when the works has been completed, the one-way restriction will be revoked along Bernard Road for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The revocation is required during works in the area.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 12 September 2025 and Friday 24 October 2025 the following roads will be closed either between 0600 and 1800 hours or 1800 hours and 0600 hours for a period of approximately one to 15 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance, surfacing, hedge and quartering, lining and cats eye works, and any associated prep works, to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences.
