THE A14 TRUNK ROAD (ISLIP TO CATTHORPE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBYS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A14 Trunk Road, between Islip and Catthorpe, in West and North Northamptonshire, to allow routine maintenance works to be carried out.
The effect of the Order will be to close, in phases, any layby situated adjacent to -
(a) the westbound carriageway of the A14 from its junction with the entry slip road leading from its roundabout junction with the A6116 at Islip, to its junction with the M6 at Catthorpe; and
(b) the eastbound carriageway of the A14 from its junction with the M6 at Catthorpe, to its junction with the entry slip road leading from its roundabout junction with the A6 and A6003 Barton Road, at Barton Seagrave.
The laybys will be closed between 13:00 hours and 06:00 hours. The work is expected to start on Monday 06 October 2025 and continue for approximately five weeks. The Order will come into force on 29 September 2025.
Vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closures.
