NORTH YORK MOORS NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY
public bridleways 46 & 52 (PARTS OF) Eskdaleside-cum-Ugglebarnby
(Coast to Coast National Trail – Sleights Moor) Diversion Order 2025
The above Order, made on 21 August 2025, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert parts of both bridleways onto an existing track from the A169 Whitby to Pickering road across Sleights Moor, as shown on the Order map.
A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Whitby Library, Windsor Terrace, Whitby, YO21 1EY until 9 October 2025. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased at a reasonable cost by contacting Legal & Democratic Services,
North Yorkshire Council, Town Hall, St Nicholas Street, Scarborough, YO11 2HG. Tel: (01723) 232490 (quoting reference PJM/130081).
Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Legal & Democratic Services, Town Hall, St Nicholas Street, Scarborough, YO11 2HG not later than 9 October 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made and quote the reference above.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the North York Moors National Park Authority may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
