What is happening?

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of Church Walk, Ulverston from its junction with Sea View, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 45 metres. A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via Sea View, Town Street, Back Lane and the unrestricted section of Church Walk.

The Order will come into operation on 22nd September 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
