Rakesmoor Lane, Barrow-in-Furness - Temporary Road Closure due to Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(U6122 RAKESMOOR LANE, BARROW-IN-FURNESS)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of Rakesmoor Lane, from its junction with Bank Lane, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 110 metres.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via U6124 Dalton Lane, U6135 Breast Mill Beck, C6011 Park Road and the unrestricted section of Rakesmoor Lane.

The Order will come into operation on 22nd September 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 week and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
