What is happening?

The County Council of Durham
(Enfield Road, Seaham)
(Temporary Road Closure)
Order 2025

The Council on 3/9/2025 made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following length of road. A 30 metre length of Enfield Road to the front of Numbers 25-27, Murton to enable water leak repair works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic via other local roads of Evesham Road, Eastdene Road and Eastlea Road. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The closure is required from 3/9/2025 and for the duration of the works, anticipated to be 3 days. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
