What is happening?
North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Public Footpath 30.22/001/1 Parish of West Ayton, Order 2024 No 360
Notice is hereby given that the above Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any public access along Public Footpath 30.22/001/1 in the Parish of West Ayton between grid reference SE98418711 & SE98748582, due to damaged & deteriorating boardwalk, has been continued in force for a further 12 months until 12/09/26 or until the completion of the works (whichever is the earlier), under Section 15(3) of the above Act with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. 20mph Speed Limit, Hunmanby, Various Locations, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 20 mph on any length of road specified below:- The Schedule - Part 1 Owston Road, for its entire length. Mitford Road, for its entire length. Mitford Close, for its entire length. Priest Close, for its entire length. Outgaits Close, for its entire length. Wrangham Drive, for its entire length. Bowling Green Lane, for its entire length. Burlyn Road, for its entire length. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Hunmanby Community Centre, 35 Stonegate, Filey YO14 0NS during normal office hours from 11/09/25 until 02/10/25 & also viewed online at
