Newbridge Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
NEWBRIDGE ROAD, AMBERGATE
WHEN: 01 October 2025 (09:30 to 14:30)
WHERE: Newbridge Road, Ambergate between its Jct. with A6, Derby Road and its Jct. with Wesley Road.
REASON: To facilitate the inspection of Network Rail's retaining wall.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Derby Road, Ripley Road, New Road, Crich Lane, Newbridge Road, and vice versa. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
