B6101 Union Road - Temporary Road Closure

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
B6101 UNION ROAD, NEW MILLS

WHEN: 29 September to 10 October 2025.
WHERE: Union Road, New Mills between Jct. with A6015 and Jct. with Back Union Road.
REASON: To facilitate resurfacing on A6015.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Light Traffic Only use Union Road, Market Street, Spring Bank, Bridge Street, Thornsett, Sitch Lane, Sycamore Road, Spinnerbottom, Station Road, A6015 and vice versa.
HGV Traffic Only use: B6101, A626, A627, A6, A6015, B6101.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
