Crow Lane - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
CROW LANE, CHESTERFIELD
WHEN: 29 September 2025 to 09 February 2026
WHERE: Crow Lane, Chesterfield from its Jct. with Tapton Terrace for a distance of 65m in an easterly direction.
REASON: To facilitate rail station platform reconstruction works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Crow Lane (from point of closure), Piccadilly Road, A632, Lordsmill Interchange, Lordsmill Street, St Marys Gate, Holywell Street, Donut Interchange, Brewery Street, Brimington Road Interchange, Malkin Street and vice versa. Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
